Locum Clinical Oncologist - South Wales Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Locum Clinical Oncologist to join our team in South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for a consultant to work flexibly, developing strong relationships with cancer patients and providing high-quality care.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will use advanced medical equipment to deliver radiotherapy and systemic therapy treatments. You will also have the opportunity to contribute significantly to improving the health of the population, particularly focusing on vulnerable individuals.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the side effects and symptoms of cancer and its treatment, including pain management. You will also coordinate and prescribe various treatments, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Supporting patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, stages of cancer, and treatment options in a clear and practical manner.">
  • Managing the side effects and symptoms of cancer and its treatment, including pain management.">
  • Coordinating and prescribing various treatments, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.">
  • Delivering radiation therapy (for Clinical Oncologists).">

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • ">
  • A GMC registered Doctor (you do NOT need to be on the Specialist Register).">
  • Relevant experience at Consultant level or references to support your transition to Consultant level.">
  • Evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (unfortunately, locum jobs cannot offer visa sponsorship).">
  • You will need to pass an enhanced background check (DBS).">
