About our Transport Operations team

Our team designs, plans, builds and operates Victoria's transport system to integrate the network and improve services for simpler, quicker and safer journeys that connect people and places and support Victoria's prosperity and liveability.

The Team Lead will lead a dedicated operational team within the Commercial Transactions division. The project team seeks to deliver the State's future public transport ticketing solution and services and oversee the transition and implementation of the future ticketing solution.

Reporting to the Program Director, this role will be required to lead a multidisciplinary operations team to deliver the transition from the previous ticketing services contract to the new contract, as well as ensuring operational readiness for the implementation and operations of the future ticketing system within the newly awarded Ticketing contract.

POSITION OUTCOMES

  • Lead overall Operations team to ensure delivery of all contractual requirements, acquisition of goods and services required for implementation of the future public transport ticketing system.
  • Lead the implementation of the new Ticketing system across the network while ensuring continuity of service as the previous Ticketing service is phased out.

Key selection criteria are based on stakeholder engagement, systems thinking, leading commercial analysis and advisory of government initiatives and demonstrated experience working on major technology projects in either public and/or private sectors, including experience with a range of procurement models.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Applicants must have a relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, economics, business management or related discipline. A proven record of leading commercial analysis and advisory of government initiatives is highly desirable.
