We are a leading hospitality company operating a restaurant in Pacific Fair, Gold Coast. Our restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, and special occasions. Our team of baristas and waiters deliver exceptional service, and our chefs prepare a wide range of dishes using high-quality ingredients.

About the Role

We are seeking 3 full-time Chefs to join our kitchen team. As a Chef at The Coffee Club Pacific Fair, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes. You will work closely with our management team to ensure that our kitchen operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality food according to menu guidelines, recipes, and presentation.
  • Quality Control: Examine food to ensure quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Daily preparation of all ingredients, quality control, and rotation.
  • Team Leadership: Train kitchen staff, including apprentices and trainees, and discuss food preparation issues with managers and other staff members.
  • Communication: Effective communication with management and other staff members.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Follow correct hygiene food handling practices in accordance with HACCP and maintain occupational health and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Australian Recognised Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent.
  • Team leadership skills and self-motivation.
  • 2 years minimum experience in a busy cafe/restaurant environment.
  • Attention to detail and personal/professional pride.
  • Ability to work alone and as a team.
  • Knowledge of current Food Safety Standards and ability to follow strict hygiene procedures.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and meet the physically demanding requirements of a kitchen role.
  • 7-day availability with the ability to work on weekends and public holidays.
