Senior Dementia Advisor

About the Opportunity:

This is a senior role for a skilled dementia professional to deliver our Dementia Support Program, working collaboratively to improve lives and implement best practices.

We are seeking an experienced advisor to support families, caregivers, and clinical staff in understanding how dementia impacts each individual.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Synthesize information to provide recommendations that are relationship-centred and informed by evidence-based best practice
  • Develop reports contextualised to individual situations to effect change on the ground and improve quality of life for people living with dementia
  • Educate carers and clinicians to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through modelling, coaching, and development of resources
  • Support individuals, families, and carers to navigate dementia-related challenges
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting people living with dementia – an understanding of dementia and a person-centred approach to care
  • High level of negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Relevant qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health is essential
