About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. The successful candidate will assist in building customers' confidence and network with Bio-Rad, providing front-line technical and application support to internal/external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a challenging position that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in engineering (electronic/electrical/biomedical/mechanical) and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in life science, clinical diagnostics or biomedical service industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing life sciences and clinical diagnostics instruments at our Australian customer sites and assisting across the broader Pacific region when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide preventive and maintenance services to customers
  • Install, service, and maintain Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics instruments
  • Ensure all work orders are handled in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Use ServiceMax for work order management
  • Ensure tools and test equipment are kept in a professional manner
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Meet territory service goals and objectives
  • Ensure the Company achieves its customer satisfaction objective at all times
  • Report promptly to the Technical Service Manager of any circumstances where this is not occurring
  • Maintain good customer relationships

RequirementsTechnical Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Electronic/Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical)
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Life Science, Clinical Diagnostics or Biomedical service Industry
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and proven customer relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, good organisation, and planning skills
  • Strong team orientation
  • Problem-solving ability and results-driven
  • High level of skills in computer literacy and software usage
  • Current driver's license valid in Australia
