Job Overview

The role of Global Logistics Coordinator involves managing the entire shipment lifecycle to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology from purchase order issuance through delivery of cargo.
  • Input financial components of shipments for accurate billing.
  • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions for internal and external challenges.
  • Execute and coordinate shipment tasks according to customer SOPs, including booking approvals, pre-alerts, governmental filings, deliveries, and invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate shipment data in a centralized system.
  • Provide quotes based on customer and network needs, ensuring full pricing understanding.
  • Offer track and trace services and generate shipment documents.
  • Prioritize high data integrity across all shipment details, including INCO terms, routing, dates, and documentation.
Relationship Building
  • Establish strong customer relationships through timely responses and issue resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, agents, offices, and external vendors.
  • Foster a positive team environment.
  • Support new customer implementations and participate in business meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of logistics operations, supply chain experience, or similar background.
  • Strong communication skills with prioritization, multitasking, and exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Excellent follow-up and coordination with customers and the network.
  • Critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to changing tasks and customer needs.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
