About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Senior Team Leader to join the City of Kwinana's remarkable team. This is a full-time, permanent position working alongside a dedicated team of passionate and committed Officers.

As the successful candidate, you will lead recreation, health, and club development strategies to support and encourage a healthy, active, and connected community. You will also develop and deliver broader community engagement and capacity-building initiatives to ensure local clubs and community groups remain viable in the long-term.

About You

  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Tertiary qualification in community development, recreation, public health, or a related discipline, and/or significant relevant industry experience
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar or related role delivering club development, recreation facility usage arrangements, and community public health outcomes
  • Highly developed communication, networking, and relationship-building skills with an ability to engage with diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community development approaches to recreation planning and club development
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to manage challenging scenarios
  • The ability to inspire and lead staff with a focus on customer service outcomes
  • Well-developed organisational skills and initiative to prioritise workload
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills demonstrated in grant and report writing, presentations, record management, and efficient correspondence
  • Driver's Licence, Police Clearance, Working with Children Card, First Aid Certificate, and willingness to work after hours as required
