About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Risk Management Director to join our team at Anglican Care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management strategy that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a risk management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates potential risks to the organization.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Executive Director on risk-based considerations and ensure that risk practices are contemporary and responsive to changes in external impacts.
  • Identify and assess emerging risks and recommend approaches to managing these risks.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to improve risk maturity and continuous improvement of the Risk Management Framework.
  • Oversee project management and deliverables for risk and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure effective delivery of the WHS management system and maintain strong working relationships with our insurance broker and insurers.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a risk, safety, and insurance leader in promoting and implementing a risk, safety, and insurance function.
  • Extensive experience in risk management frameworks, including the development and operation of risk registers, risk assessments, risk appetite statements, and risk reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the WHS legislation, its application, and managing those requirements.
  • Capacity to provide leadership in a complex environment and strong negotiation skills demonstrating high levels of commerciality and pragmatism.
  • Tertiary qualifications in risk management or a related discipline or demonstrated experience in that field.
  • A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children) and NDIS Check.
  • National Police Check (Anglican Care will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).
