Job Title: Weigh Label Room Operator

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically minded individual to join our team in the Weigh Label Room.

  • This role involves processing, inspecting, packing, weighing, and labelling raw chicken meat.
  • You will be responsible for operating and setting up Espera Weigh Label Machines, unloading product trays and placing them into cartons, loading and unloading cartons/crates from pallets, and some stacking of cartons and manual handling tasks - lifting (5-15kg), bending, pulling, pushing.
  • In addition to adhering to HACCP food safety standards and completing associated paperwork accurately, you will also need to identify and escalate any food safety or quality concerns.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Operating and setting up Espera Weigh Label Machines
  2. Unloading product trays and placing them into cartons
  3. Loading and unloading cartons/crates from pallets
  4. Some stacking of cartons and manual handling tasks - lifting (5-15kg), bending, pulling, pushing
  5. Adhering to HACCP food safety standards, completing associated paperwork accurately
  6. Identifying and escalating any food safety or quality concerns

Requirements:

  • Good numerical and written English skills (essential for HACCP documentation)
  • Mechanical aptitude - ability to set up and operate labelling machines
  • Physically fit - comfortable with repetitive lifting and working on your feet
  • Forklift Licence - advantageous, but not essential
  • Ability to work safely and calmly in a fast-paced environment
