Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

The Multidisciplinary AOD and Mental Health Professional will form part of our multidisciplinary team at The Living Room Primary Health service.

As part of the Substance Misuse Team, you will work with individuals experiencing multiple and complex needs to provide strengths-based and therapeutic interventions designed to reduce the frequency and severity of mental health crisis and the harms of high-risk AOD use.

You will work within a social model of health, providing crisis interventions, undertaking structured and semi-structured counselling sessions, and conducting supported referrals across a range of domains.

This role provides secondary consults for clinical and non-clinical staff at The Living Room to develop coordinate care plans for individuals presenting with a range of complex mental health and harmful AOD use.

Please note that this is a 9-month contract ending June 30th, 2025.

Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in AOD and/or MH sector and treatment provision working with clients with multiple and complex needs.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a community-based setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of homelessness, housing, and health sectors (including mental health and AOD).
