Job Summary:

Capital Projects Team Leader

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our capital projects team.

The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end design and project management of capital projects, providing expert design and engineering, development of machines leading to process improvements, communication with relevant stakeholders, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant standards, and conducting business in an ethical and professional manner.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop capital project scopes, including timing plans and budgets, obtaining agreement from all stakeholders
  • Manage project progress, monitoring and reporting key milestones
  • Coordinate internal and external labor requirements
  • Maintain open and effective communication with internal departments
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely, adhering to protocols (e.g. JSAs, SOPs)
  • Analyze opportunities for automation and process improvement
  • Design and commission capital projects, ensuring engineering designs, drawings, and specifications meet regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Background in trade or manufacturing
  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Experience managing projects, with Project Management certification desirable
  • Familiarity with CAD software
  • Demonstrated computer and teamwork skills
  • Able to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, prioritizing tasks and responding to changing circumstances
