Job Title: Project Director

The Infrastructure Division is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join the Delivery Housing Group for a temporary opportunity at the IO5 level.


About this role:

  • The successful candidate will support the development of a comprehensive Project Delivery Framework to guide the growth of the managed portfolio.
  • This includes exploring feasibility options such as standard construction and modular builds, and identifying opportunities to increase multi-typology residential housing stock across the Territory.


The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in residential construction and property development, with strong knowledge of procurement strategies, project finance, and stakeholder management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support the development of a strategic Project Delivery Framework for housing growth.
    • Provide advice and reporting on housing policy and capital works delivery.
    • Collaborate with ACT Government agencies and the Housing Coordinator General.
    • Build and maintain relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
    • Communicate project scope, progress, and aspirations to diverse audiences.
    • Liaise with senior stakeholders across government and community sectors.
    • Promote a strong safety culture across infrastructure delivery activities.


Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • Mandatory:
    • Relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or Building;
  • Accreditation with a recognised Australian professional body;
  • Significant experience in building, infrastructure, or project management.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in planning and delivering housing infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of ACT Government processes, or the ability to quickly acquire it.
