Director of Allied Health Services

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Allied Health services, providing strategic direction, operational management, and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a member of our executive team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of service plans, policies, and strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives.

About the Role:

The Director of Allied Health Services is responsible for leading a team of professionals to provide effective leadership and governance of Allied Health services, programs, and initiatives across our region. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance patient outcomes, improve service delivery, and promote best practice in Allied Health care.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, policies, and service improvement strategies for Allied Health services;
• Provide professional leadership and support to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to deliver high-quality patient care;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies;
• Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective allocation of funds;
• Monitor and evaluate service performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed;
• Promote best practice in Allied Health care, staying up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and innovations;
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures;
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, encouraging staff to achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as health science, business, or public administration;
• Extensive experience in leadership and management roles within the healthcare sector;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders;
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and service improvement strategies;
• Experience working with budgets, financial management, and resource allocation;
• Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions;
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying current with industry trends and best practices.
