Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Sydney Metro requires a skilled Quality Assurance Professional to support the Health & Safety Team ensuring the operation of the Metro North West Line and City Section on the Sydney Metro City & Southwest Project.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Participate in assurance reviews, deep dive sessions, and ensure actions are completed to guarantee rail safety standards.
  • Support updates to Health & Safety Management System documents relating to Operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in documentation reviews, assurance activities, and risk assessments of the operator to identify potential issues.
  • Review and critique Interface Protocols with other Operators, and Railway Operating Manuals for compliance to operating standards and procedures to minimize risks.
  • Contribute to a risk-based audit program, inspection, and monitoring schedule with associated assurance activities and reporting regimes to maintain transparency.
  • Engage in Sydney Metro and Operator risk activities and reviews to address key risks, issues, and specific activities affecting the operating environment to ensure a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will possess Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in rail safety, safety assurance, or health & safety. Certification as a Lead Auditor and Investigations experience with ICAM qualifications are desired but not essential. A valid Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card is also required to ensure proper training and compliance.
