Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Officer - Emergency Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and delivering vocational training programs for internal and external staff. They will also support section staff in identifying and researching training, learning, and development issues and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to manage relationships, stakeholders, and outcomes, an understanding of vocational training and its application within the public service, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and familiarisation in digital learning platforms. A qualification in adult education or vocational training is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, coordinate, and deliver vocational training programs for internal and external staff
  • Support section staff in identifying and researching training, learning, and development issues and solutions
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in relevant systems and training documents such as learning data, attendance, and completion records
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of external and internal training, on or offsite, face-to-face, or via virtual platforms
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, stakeholders, and outcomes
  • An understanding of vocational training and its application within the public service
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and familiarisation in digital learning platforms
