We are seeking an experienced Estimator to lead our Estimating Department. This key role involves strategic business development, mentoring staff, and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong acumen in residential estimating, preferably with high-rise experience, and proficiency in BuildSoft, EstimateOne, or similar software.

This is a challenging opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and implement strategies for competitive tender procurement, oversee the use of estimating software, and ensure adherence to ethical tendering practices.

To be considered for this role, you must have a tertiary degree in building management, quantity surveying, or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in estimating.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and execute plans for competitive tender procurement that align with company goals.
  • Mentor and Train Staff: Provide guidance and training to estimating staff on accurate take-offs, pricing, and strategic subcontractor alliances.
  • Oversee Estimating Software: Manage the use of estimating software to streamline tender processes and project handovers.
  • Ensure Adherence to Ethical Practices: Ensure that all tendering activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary Degree: A degree in building management, quantity surveying, or equivalent.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in residential estimating.
  • Proficiency in Estimating Software: Proficiency in BuildSoft, EstimateOne, or similar software.
