Business Opportunity: Commercial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Specialist to support a confidential project.

About the Role

This is a full-time fixed term position for four months, based in Canberra. Interstate applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Develop and manage commercial strategies to support the tendering process.
  • Prepare and review Request for Tender (RFT) documentation to ensure compliance with Defence procurement requirements.
  • Evaluate commercial aspects of bid responses, ensuring alignment with project goals and financial objectives.
  • Provide expert commercial advice to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all commercial and contractual risks are effectively managed.
Requirements
  • Experience in commercial management, contract negotiation, and procurement within a Defence setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Defence procurement frameworks and RFT processes.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and assess commercial and financial aspects of tender responses.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • An active NV1 security clearance is essential.
