Instrumentation and Control Apprenticeship

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Control Apprentice to join our team at MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees. This 4-year apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in working with calibration equipment and tools.

About the Role

As a full-time employee, you will work closely with our host Trescal, a global independent expert in calibration services. You will be mentored by industry professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework towards a UEE31220 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing calibration, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance to Trescal's electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic instrumentation
  • Planning and installing new instrumentation as required by customers
  • Maintaining a high level of technical competency, ensuring that diagnosed and repaired instruments or systems can be returned to service with minimal disruption to customers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills
  • An interest in mechanical and electrical apparatus
  • A driver's license
  • Good safety record
  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions
