Health, Safety and Environmental Expert

The role requires an individual to provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental systems across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a strong safety culture by supporting health, safety, and environmental initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and legislation
  • Manage reporting, sampling, and monitoring of environmental data
  • Develop and implement safe and sustainable practices

Requirements

  • Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • Experience in a similar position within the mining industry, preferably gold
  • Strong understanding of risk management, safety systems, and legislative requirements
  • Facilitation of risk management processes and incident investigation experience

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with INX database (InControl)
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Regulations (Mines) 2022
