Job Title: Director of Food Service Operations

Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Work Type: Full-time Permanent Position

Duties:

  • Plan menus in consultation with Executive Chefs and other culinary experts to ensure optimal offerings.
  • Organise high-profile events and functions to showcase our venue's capabilities.
  • Coordinate the purchasing and pricing of goods according to established financial guidelines.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions.
  • Ensure that dining facilities consistently meet health regulations and provide a clean, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests.
  • Confer with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service quality.
  • Select, train, and supervise waiting and kitchen staff to guarantee excellent customer experience.
  • Manage reservations, greet guests, and assist in taking orders to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in hospitality management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role.
  • The ability to positively lead a team and effectively supervise staff members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
