About the Role
We seek an experienced Procurement Specialist to develop and implement regional sourcing strategies ensuring safe, quality, and cost-competitive goods and services are provided in full and on time to our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships for suppliers servicing a specific region.
- Develop regional sourcing strategies to support the business and align with global category management strategies.
- Source new suppliers and products through market analysis and negotiation, identifying, assessing, and engaging suitable suppliers.
- Minimise the supplier base by consolidating and prudently selecting and managing suppliers.
- Ensure the implementation of global category management initiatives within the region through stakeholder engagement and enforcing compliance.
- Work with suppliers to improve Safety, Integrity, Facilities, Occupational Health and Environment (SIFOT) performance by establishing clear guidelines and expectations.
- Develop initiatives to reduce costs to the business and meet savings targets.
- Develop, implement, and manage supplier agreements for key suppliers.
- Provide procurement expertise and knowledge to the procurement function and business.
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to the Purchasing Specialist, developing their capability and competency to facilitate succession planning.
Requirements:
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and supplier relationships.
- At least 2 years' experience in procurement and vendor management.
- Extensive knowledge of procurement processes and strategies.
- Able to work in a team or individually on multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Able to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Willingness to learn and undergo job-specific training.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
