Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the purchasing department, you will play a vital role in assisting with managing and optimizing purchasing activities and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage daily procurement activities for allocated branches, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of products and services.
- Collaborate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs, ensuring that all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Train team members in procurement processes and systems, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure business goals are met.
- Provide regular reports to management on stock levels, supply issues, and other relevant metrics.
- Analyse data to anticipate future stock needs and assist in adjusting inventory levels.
- Use software to create replenishment reports, monitor demand, and create accurate transfer lists.
- Experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience in procurement trade-related, building and construction products.
