About the Role

We are seeking a Team Leader, First Nations Liaison Officer to join our team in driving the Tribunal's commitment to improving outcomes and service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants, people, and communities.

This role will play a crucial part in contributing to the Tribunal's overall cultural capability, cultural safety, and reconciliation plan by leading national engagement and liaison responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build community engagement and manage relationships in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations people.
  • Lead the national engagement and liaison responsibility.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have highly developed cultural competency and a deep understanding of the issues affecting First Nations peoples and communities. You will also possess excellent organisational, project management, and planning skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will have strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, and a strong sense of self-awareness. You will also be able to foster respect, inclusion, and cultural and psychosocial safety in the workplace.

In addition, you will have a solutions-focused approach and demonstrated innovation and agility to achieve results and provide quality and timely advice.
