About the Role

We are seeking a Support Service Associate to deliver effective support to our care home, including catering, cleaning and laundry. You will use your fantastic food services and cleaning skills in a role where you really can make a difference by providing our residents with an empathetic and personal approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests
  • Perform laundry duties including loading washers & dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping or ironing linen
  • Assist with basic food preparation, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing
  • Clean general areas including mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous catering or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • Able to work unsupervised and have an understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices
