About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Amenity Enforcement Officer to join our Animal Management team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and amenity of our community through education, enforcement, and promoting responsible pet ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce relevant legislation and Council policies related to animal management;
  • Issue infringement notices and record details in accordance with Council procedures;
  • Conduct daily patrols of designated areas, including parks within the municipality;
  • Investigate complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner;
  • Provide education and advice to the public through various means, including face-to-face, phone, and written communication;
  • Maintain a diary of activities, including investigations, enforcement actions, and customer service requests;
  • Prepare reports and provide evidence in court as required.
Requirements
  • Certificate 4 in Government (Statutory Compliance) or equivalent experience;
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret legislation and decide on an appropriate course of action;
  • Pre-employment medical check and police check required;
  • Current Victorian driver's license.
