About the Role

We are seeking a Project Management Specialist to drive operational improvement in project management and delivery.

This newly created position will provide expert guidance to drive and deliver cross-organisational improvement initiatives across the Operations and Planning, Environment & Strategy directorates.

The position will focus on embedding Capital Works project management and delivery and Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) principles, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, promoting accountability, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality specialist advice, analysis, and recommendations to teams across the Operations and Planning, Environment & Strategy directorates.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and strategic plans pertaining to these directorates, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Represent the organisation in an advisory capacity on relevant internal and external working groups and committees.
  • Analyse complex data, identifying trends, and report findings to identify improvements, and solve complex problems across project management practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in applying project management methodologies to effectively manage the delivery of services, across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, project management, and continuous improvement in service delivery, working on projects in multi-disciplinary teams within a local government or similar complex organisation.
