Job Description:

Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Volunteer
  • About the Position
  • You will support individuals in their recovery journey through creative and social activities.
  • Your contributions may include assisting with art therapy and creative workshops, facilitating mindfulness, social, and wellbeing groups, supporting Hearing Voices Network (HVN) peer groups, providing companionship and emotional support, encouraging participation and connection in a safe space, and marketing and events.
Key Responsibilities
  • Qualifications And Certificate
  • You need a Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months), a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate, A current working with Children Check, and a current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Skills And Experience
  • You should have a passion for mental health, creativity, and group facilitation, strong communication and empathy skills, reliability and teamwork.
  • Desirable
  • Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable.
  • Attitude
  • A positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress. The ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions. Pro-active individual who is enthusiastic and committed to upholding RW values and principles.
