This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and their families. As our Family Peer Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to those who need it most.
With your personal lived experience and expertise in mental health, you will be able to offer tailored support and advice to help participants achieve their goals and improve their overall wellbeing.
You will work closely with families, friends, and carers to understand their unique needs and challenges, and develop personalized action plans to address these issues.
Facilitate network meetings and deliver group intervention training and courses to strengthen carers' ability to sustain their caring role.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support and guidance to participants
- Develop and implement personalized action plans
- Facilitate network meetings and group training sessions
- Work collaboratively with families, friends, and carers to understand their needs and challenges

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Personal lived experience of caring for someone with mental health challenges or psychosocial distress and recovery
- Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, AOD, or tertiary qualification in social science, or 1+ year relevant work experience in the mental health sector
- Demonstrated knowledge of family and caring roles and the impact on carers' health and wellbeing
- Demonstrated skill in establishing empowering and supportive partnerships with individuals, families, and carers
