Postdoctoral Research Associate in Climate Science

The Climate Change Research Centre is a multidisciplinary research group with expertise in atmospheric convection and global climate modelling. We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to work on a Discovery Project funded by the Australian Research Council, 'Risks of rapid ocean warming at the Antarctic continental margin'. This project aims to investigate mechanisms for warming of Antarctic continental shelf waters using high-resolution ocean-sea ice models.

To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD in physical oceanography, climate science, or geophysical fluid dynamics, with experience in ocean modelling and Antarctic coastal or Southern Ocean research. You will also possess high-level programming skills and expertise in High-Performance Computing. Strong communication and mentoring abilities are essential.

This 24-month fixed-term position offers an opportunity to work closely with project investigators and contribute to a groundbreaking research project.
