Job Summary

This is a challenging role that involves providing high-quality education to individuals with diabetes, supporting them in self-managing their condition and improving their overall health outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our Education Services team, working closely with clients and healthcare professionals to develop and deliver education programs that meet the needs of individuals with diabetes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group clinical sessions and programs in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and lesson plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and empathetic listening skills.
  • Provide client-centred education empowering individuals to self-manage their diabetes and improve their overall health outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvement activities and maintain accurate records for internal and external reporting.
  • Supervise students and ensure practices meet professional standards and competencies.
Requirements
  • Accreditation as a Credentialled Diabetes Nurse Educator with experience supporting people with type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.
  • Experience or willingness to deliver group education programs or health professional training.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a proactive team member and contribute to interdisciplinary team work.
