Diabetes Nurse Educator Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality client-centered education and training programs in diabetes management. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the prevention and management of diabetes and related complications.

  • Develop and implement effective client education strategies that promote self-management skills and improve health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver group and individual education programs tailored to meet the needs of diverse client groups.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice and current clinical guidelines to inform your teaching and support the development of clients' knowledge and skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in diabetes nursing and/or education, with experience in developing and delivering client-centered education programs.
  • Accreditation as a Credentialled Diabetes Nurse Educator (CDNE) or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
