Job Description

The District Tuberculosis Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality, specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for TB patients in Southern NSW.

The role requires a person-centered approach to provide patient assessment, care planning, and referral services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient assessment, care planning, and referral services
  • Coordinate TB clinics in partnership with tertiary providers and General Practitioners
  • Ensure flexible and quality TB management and treatment services
Required Skills and QualificationsEssential Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Post-registration qualifications in infection control or related field
  • At least three years' clinical experience and NSW TB Service accreditation to administer TST and BCG vaccinations
Desirable Attributes
  • Registered Nurses with a minimum of 3 years' experience or Clinical Nurse Specialists Grade 1 who would like to progress to Grade 2
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate to deliver quality nursing care
