The Role

The evolving energy landscape presents new technologies, policy designs, and consumer influences.

We consult across various engagements, including regular modelling updates, bespoke asset evaluations, and large-scale system planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare quantitative analyses, build models, and develop problem-solving approaches under senior team guidance.
  • Translate complex modelling outputs into actionable insights and clear visualisations for clients.
  • Support presentation development showcasing data insights and market trends, including tailored solutions and analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, methodologies, and data sources to enhance modelling techniques and relevance.
  • Provide support in client communications and relationship coordination.
  • Leverage networking opportunities to understand client needs and gather feedback on market trends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve data models and integrate client feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes, increase automation, and improve modelling capabilities.
About You

We seek candidates with:

  • 0-2 years of experience in energy markets, trading, or related industries.
  • Recently completed a tertiary degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another highly quantitative field.
  • Strong quantitative skills and capable programming skills for data analysis and tool automation (e.g., Python, R).
  • A genuine interest in working on important projects informing decision-making in the National Electricity Market and other markets.
  • Efficient time management and prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
