
Quantitative Energy Specialist

As a key member of our modelling team, you will develop timely and rigorous quantitative analyses to enhance clients' decision-making. Your work will involve structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses and deriving insights from the model results.
Our dynamic environment offers autonomy, influencing major decisions in the energy sector, and growing into industry experts under directors' guidance. Recent STEM graduates or professionals with up to three years of experience in energy, management consulting, financial services, or a similar field are suitable for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed quantitative models to inform clients' business strategies
- Collaborate closely with our data science team to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
- Contribute to product development by identifying new opportunities and expanding our capabilities
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
Required Attributes:
- First-class or high second-class degree in a quantitative subject (Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Finance)
- Strong interest in energy markets and policy developments
- 1-2 years of work experience in the energy sector or another professional field
- Ability to collect, analyze and interpret complex quantitative data and information
- Evidence of strong performance in team-oriented environments
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical parties
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
Desirable Attributes:
- Fluency in a second language beneficial but not essential
- Skills in data analytics and related software (e.g. Python, Excel, SQL, Power BI)
- Existing knowledge or experience in the power sector or a related field
