About the Role

You will be primarily responsible for delivering high-level psychology support services to school-age students, undertaking advanced wellbeing interventions, and contributing to student wellbeing policy development.

  • Providing expert consultation to schools, healthcare providers, and families on evidence-based best practices for speech and language development and intervention.
  • Familiarity with student wellbeing issues, disability inclusion, policies, and experience working with schools is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in initiating, developing, and implementing programs, procedures, and policies that foster resilience in children and young people to support their educational needs.
  • Experience in critical incident response and working in schools with children and youth are desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and school leadership teams to ensure holistic care, supporting student learning and wellbeing.

Your specialist expertise as a psychologist coupled with knowledge of student wellbeing issues and skills in providing consultation to various stakeholders within the education community will be highly regarded.

The role requires flexibility, rapid response, and accountability for actions. You must have:

  • A graduate or post-graduate degree in Psychology or equivalent.
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the relevant national health practitioners registration agency.
  • A valid Victorian Working with Children Check and full Driver's License is required for this position.
