The Commercial Analyst role is a key position within the Specialist Networks Mechanical Group, responsible for providing financial accounting, management, and analytical reporting for the Electrical Business Units.
This role involves a range of core functions, including month-end financial accounting process, management reporting, budgeting, and expense control, as well as variance analysis for revenue, margin, expense, and balance sheet items.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing month-end processes, including posting relevant journal entries, and completing monthly financial analysis for respective business units.
They will also be responsible for completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including resolving any issues identified by these reconciliations, and completing monthly financial reporting requirements for business units and the Bapcor Group.
Key Responsibilities- Complete month-end process, including posting all relevant journal entries in the required timeframe.
- Complete monthly financial analysis for respective business units.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including resolving any issues identified by these reconciliations.
- Complete monthly financial reporting requirements for business units and Bapcor Group.
- Assist the Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Analyst in formulating the Company's annual budget, including developing the budget pack.
- Lead the finalisation of the Company's year-end and half-year reporting requirements, including completion of year-end schedules.
- Support M&A activity, including liaising directly with acquisition targets, preparing investment recommendations for internal approval, and supporting integration of new businesses into the Group.
This role would be a great fit for an astute commercial analyst with a proven track record of driving business growth through meticulous data analysis and strategic insights.
Skilled in financial modelling, market research, and trend analysis, you thrive in dynamic environments where you can leverage data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
Requirements- Tertiary qualifications in business, majoring in accounting or other relevant major with an accounting minor.
- CA/CPA qualified or partially completed.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a financial and/or management accounting function in a complex organisation.
- Advanced financial accounting skills, including current knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Advanced management accounting and business analytics experience.
- High-level ERP literacy, with Pronto experience preferred but not essential.
