Job Description:

This is a challenging opportunity to lead and supervise a team in sponsor monitoring activities, visa pre-decision verification checks, and associated case management responsibilities.

About the Role:
  • Sponsor Monitoring Unit Queensland is seeking a skilled leader to oversee the team's activities, including site visits, client interviews, and compliance monitoring caseloads.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and leading the team, applying and interpreting legislation and policy documents, managing high tempo compliance monitoring caseloads, and preparing complex recommendation reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Effective leadership abilities and team managerial skills
  • Flexibility and initiative in response to planning and allocating work according to operational priorities and risk-based assessment
  • Good understanding of relevant legislative powers and ability to lead operational activity competently within those legislative boundaries
  • Highly developed analytical abilities to identify and assess program integrity risk factors
  • Aptitude in interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Positive commitment to addressing WHS risks appropriately
