This is a unique opportunity to leverage your analytical prowess as a Senior Data Insights Specialist at Westpac, one of Australia's leading financial institutions. As part of the Business & Wealth Division Transformation Office, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

About the Role

  • Coach and guide the Data team in performing data analysis tasks for multi-stream projects, driving achievement of business objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and control schedules across large or complex projects, utilizing information to identify insights that optimize delivery or mitigate potential risks.
  • Stakeholder management involves consulting and acting as a trusted advisor across senior levels, supporting conversations for multiple projects.
  • Prepare and manage cross-program activities on behalf of the Data Analyst team, feeding into large program/project plans.
  • Lead a team to analyze data collected from large, complex projects/programs, evaluating the effectiveness of solutions and their value to the business.
  • Coach teams to engage with stakeholders, guiding collaborative working relations to ensure teams remain committed throughout the project.
  • Provide technical expertise to the technology team on data workflows.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Banking & Finance Industry, particularly in analytical roles (Data, Credit, Business).
  • Commercial experience in Business Intelligence Solutions.
  • Advanced skills in SAS/SQL.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with Agile project delivery processes and tools.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
