Job Opportunity: Senior Data Insights Specialist

We are seeking multiple skilled Data Analysts to join our team at the HiTech Group, a leading Federal Government department. This exciting opportunity offers a 12-month contract with extension options and flexible hybrid work arrangements across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the organisation's strategy and changing needs, capturing business requirements and underlying data and reporting needs.
  • Translate subject-matter expert and stakeholder discussions into data and reporting products, delivering value-adding insights for stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex information in simple messages suitable for key stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy.
  • Design and build reports, dashboards, and data products that support business processes and deliver business insight.
  • Drive best practice across the Analytics Chapter to ensure consistent analytics methodology and approach.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to identify organisational challenges and problem statements, turning them into analytical and data business requirements.
  • Proven ability to design and build reports, dashboards, and data products that support business processes and deliver business insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate subject-matter expert and stakeholder discussions into data and reporting products, translating key data insights into value-adding products.
  • Good analytical and evaluating skills, combined with strong programming experience (SAS, SQL, Python, R, etc).
  • Previous experience working in an industrialised cloud Data Lake and/or EDW environment is advantageous.

What We Offer:
