As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the VU Psychology Clinic. This involves overseeing the recruitment, induction, and supervision of clinicians, as well as guiding students in practice.

About the Role

This position requires a registered psychologist with considerable practice experience, preferably endorsed in an area of psychology such as clinical, health, community, or counselling psychology. The successful candidate will possess leadership capability, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting the services of the clinic to the local community and committed to the training of future psychologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including planning, strategy, and evaluation of the student clinic environment
  • Assessing suitability of clinic intake referrals for individual and group programs, and arranging necessary arrangements
  • Supervising students and clinicians within the clinic, and undertaking supervision as required
  • Liaising with external organisations to address incoming inquiries and promote clinic services
