The role
The Manager Coastal Unit manages a team and provides expert advice on a diverse range of coastal management issues, tenures, reserves and strategic property management functions, to achieve government priorities in the coastal zone. The role fosters constructive relationships with coastal stakeholders and tenure holders, to ensure issues are appropriately managed and leads staff in consistently applying policy and delivering changes and reforms to the management of coastal Crown land.

What you will bring to the role
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of coastal management legislation and framework, planning, land and natural resource related legislation and understanding of key commercial, environmental and social drivers in property management.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage and mitigate financial and governance risks
What is an essential requirement?
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
- Current drivers' license and willingness to travel.
