**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**Position**

We are looking for an energetic and suitably trade qualified individual to join our Water and Wastewater team.

Reporting to the Supervisor Wastewater, this hands on role offers a great opportunity to contribute to the reliable operation of Council’s essential infrastructure. The position will work as part of a team to support the repair and maintenance of Council’s treatment plants, water and wastewater systems, and a range of other plant and machinery.

**To be successful you will bring**

- Relevant trade qualification as a mechanical fitter.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of a variety of plant and machinery.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems and pumps.
- Proven knowledge of plant operation capabilities and associated maintenance and repair requirements.
- Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.

- An annual salary range of $65,800 to $75,500 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
