Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in rural communities. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering holistic care to clients, working collaboratively with other disciplines to achieve the best outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans to enhance their participation in daily life.
  • Recommend and implement environmental modifications and assistive technology to support clients' independence and health.
  • Provide education and guidance to families, carers, teachers, and employers on strategies to promote clients' health and wellbeing.
  • Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Deliver early childhood supports and promote healthy living initiatives in rural communities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A current, unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence (manual preferred).
  • The right to live and work in Australia.

Desirable Attributes:

  • A willingness to travel by road and/or small planes to outreach communities.
  • An interest in rural and remote healthcare delivery.
