About This Opportunity
The University of Queensland is seeking two highly motivated research-focused academics to join our dynamic First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research (FNCWR) team. As a research academic, you will contribute to our existing research program and explore new directions, delivering high-impact research for and with First Nations peoples.
Our team is led by a senior Aboriginal researcher and focuses on improving cancer outcomes and overall wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We welcome candidates from various health disciplines and offer diverse opportunities for qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research.
About You
We are seeking individuals who possess the drive to make a positive contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' health and wellbeing. You will be required to provide evidence to confirm that you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects
- Collaborate with the FNCWR team to achieve equitable health and wellbeing for First Nations peoples
- Develop and maintain relationships with community-controlled health sector organisations
