FOG Technology Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optic Gyroscope Engineer to join our dynamic team.

This role is pivotal in advancing FOG technology, playing a crucial part in the design, development, testing, and manufacturing scale-up of cutting-edge navigation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of FOG and related systems for outstanding performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes for FOGs, focusing on scalability to large production volumes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and integration.
  • Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance FOG performance and reliability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in FOG technology, photonics, and relevant manufacturing techniques
  • Contribute to a customer-centric approach by ensuring our FOG technology meets and exceeds customer expectations in demanding applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in Fiber Optic Gyroscopes
  • Strong understanding of FOG physics, including the Sagnac effect and associated phenomena
  • In-depth knowledge of photonics, including light sources, optical fibers, couplers, modulators, and detectors relevant to FOGs
  • Solid background in electro-optical systems design and integration
  • Demonstrable experience with manufacturing processes for optical or precision electro-mechanical systems, particularly with an understanding of challenges related to large-scale production
