Child Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Child Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant to provide specialist care to children and adolescents in the Illawarra region.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with children and adolescents. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient-centered care to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are developed and implemented
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, including medication management and therapy

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Specialist training in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
