Health and Safety Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety professional to join our team as an Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level and make a real impact in the industry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess significant experience within the construction industry, with a strong background in health and safety. They will be responsible for communicating company health and safety procedures and legislative requirements on site according to project specific health and safety management plans. Daily health and safety inspections and observations will also be conducted by the successful candidate.

In addition, they will deliver health and safety topics in weekly toolbox and daily prestart sessions. The successful candidate will assist with fitness for work requirements and daily welfare checks, as well as coaching and guiding Health and Safety Representatives in their legislative health and safety requirements. Supporting employees in creating risk assessments will also be a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate health and safety procedures and legislative requirements on site
  • Conduct daily health and safety inspections and observations
  • Deliver health and safety topics in weekly toolbox and daily prestart sessions
  • Assist with fitness for work requirements and daily welfare checks
  • Coach and guide Health and Safety Representatives in their legislative health and safety requirements
  • Support employees in creating risk assessments
Requirements:
  • A Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (minimum requirement)
  • At least 3+ years' experience within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated site experience in a similar role
  • A current Provide First Aid / CPR certificate
  • Experience with Incident Investigation Training (ICAM/Tap Root)
  • A OHS Construction Induction White / Blue Card
  • The Right to Work in Australia
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen
