Senior Accountant Business Services Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career and work in a reputable business services firm without the need for daily commutes into the city.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Business Services to join our team of professionals and contribute to our dynamic work environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and controlling daily assignments, ensuring staff are aware of their responsibilities, allocating work, reviewing work, coordinating workflow to achieve maximum outcomes, mentoring and training staff, meeting with clients and engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Working on technical assignments as instructed by directors.

You will be a professional ambassador for the firm and other staff, providing exceptional customer service and representing the company's values.

Our client offers a comprehensive range of services including management & financial accounting, audit & assurance, business advice & support, forensic accounting, international services, superannuation & tax effective investment advice, tax planning, structure & tax accounting, and strategic wealth advice.

To be successful in this role, you must have prior business services and client-facing experience. You will have 3-5 years of current and relevant experience in an Australian public practice.

You will understand and strive to provide exceptional customer service, being proficient in preparing financial statements for companies, able to take work from start to finish as a compliant piece of work, partnerships, and trusts, and possessing excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

You will be proficient with technology and able to utilize Xero and MYOB as your accounting software tools.

As a key member of our team, you will be required to take ownership and pride in the work and tasks that you complete.

You will be degree qualified and a Chartered Accountant (CA).
