Make a meaningful impact as a Senior Financial Accountant in Australia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Australia. As a seasoned financial professional, you will have the opportunity to work with a multinational business and contribute to their success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation and Review: Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Lease and Inventory Accounting: Responsible for lease accounting, inventory accounting, and maintenance of fixed asset register.
  • Closing Processes: Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliation, including posting of customer receipting and overall bank transactions posting.
  • Inter-company Accounting: Assist and support the inter-company accounting function, including inter-company recharging and month-end reconciliation.
  • Audit and Tax Filing: Facilitate and complete statutory audit and annual tax filing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Accounting Degree: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • CPA or CA Qualification: CPA or CA qualification is essential.
  • Technical Accounting Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of Australian and US accounting standards.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of prior experience at a similar level, preferably with a global organization.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is crucial.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
