Administration Officer Planning Role

This key role involves ensuring the efficient processing of planning applications submitted through a portal, as well as producing and issuing certificates utilising standardised templates. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for digitising historical records and managing requests related to public access and other planning matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing applications in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Issuing certificates using pre-approved templates to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Digitising drainage diagrams and other historical records to maintain an up-to-date repository of information.
  • Managing requests under the Government Information (Public Access) Act and other relevant legislation.

The Administration Officer plays a vital part in promoting a professional image of the organisation, delivering exceptional customer service, and meeting client needs by providing essential support to the planning department.

The position will be remunerated in accordance with the Local Government Award and Council's policies and conditions of employment, with a commencing salary of $35.49 per hour and potential for progression up to $39.18 per hour dependent upon skills and experience.
